Project Description
This project covers replacement of 12 rotor gear boxes at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. These units operate 24/7 and perform in a harsh environment. The parts for these units are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. Staff has reviewed several replacement options that are more suitable and have repair parts readily available in Houston area.
Future Operating Impact:
The replacement of old and obsolete equipment will decrease maintenance and repair costs in the future.
