Phone Notification System

The City's phone notification systems allows us to contact residents with important information by phone, email, and text message.

It is important to register your cell phone number in the system so you will continue to receive updated information when you are not at home. Click here to register.

Emergency Sirens

These sirens are located throughout the city in such a way that they can be heard in all residential and business areas. In the event of a chemical emergency, the sirens will sound a "whoop, whoop" tone. When the sirens are activated, citizens should shelter-in-place, stay off the phone, and wait for further instructions from emergency officials.
 

Ready LP App

     
The LEPC has developed an app to help residents get prepared and stay informed for emergencies.  Download the app today by searching "Ready LP" in the Google Play or Apple stores on your mobile device.
 

Social Media

The La Porte Office of Emergency Management uses social media to send out alerts and advisories before, during, and after an emergency. Find us on Twitter and Facebook @LPOEM. 

CAER Online
