Fine Amounts

For information concerning fine amounts please call 281-471-4683.  All juveniles must appear in open court with a parent or legal guardian.


Guilty or No Contest Pleas

By entering a plea of guilty or no contest, the defendant is declining to request any discovery of evidence in his/her case.


Payment Types

Payments may be made by the following ways.


In Person

In person at the cashier's window in the Municipal Court during business hours. Method of payments accepted are:
  • Cash
  • Cashier’s check
  • Money orders
  • Visa or MasterCard
No personal checks are accepted.

Notice of Alternatives to Full Payment of Fines or Costs

If you are assessed a fine and court costs as a result of a citation and you are unable to pay, please notify the court immediately. You may request a hearing before the judge. If you are determined by the court to have insufficient resources or income to pay, the court is required to provide you other ways to discharge the fine and costs.
 

By Phone 

You may pay La Porte citations by credit card over the telephone with Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express. To make La Porte payments by credit card, simply call the toll-free number at 877-224-6076. This service is available 24/7. You will need your citation number and the amount of the fine. (If you have a Morgan's Point citation do not use this number.)
    
You will receive a receipt number for confirmation, which should be kept for your records. A no contest plea will automatically be entered. You will be charged a service fee based on the amount of the fine.


Online

You may also pay La Porte citations online at the Online Payments website.

Morgan's Point (Pay Online)
 To make payments online, click the "Pay Online" link above, click the "Municipal Court" link option on the web page, then search by your method of choice using the drop down menu available.
 


By Mail

Payments may be mailed prior to the scheduled appearance date. Only money orders and cashier's checks are accepted. Please make payable to "La Porte Municipal Court." No personal checks are accepted.

Please provide the pink or white copy of the citation with a plea and signature on the back. Without a plea and signature, payment may be returned and the case will remain open.


Night Drop Box Payment

Payments can be made after business hours at 3005 N 23rd Street. Only money orders and cashier's checks are accepted. Please make payable to "La Porte Municipal Court." No personal checks are accepted.

Please provide the pink or white copy of the citation with a plea and signature on the back. Without a plea and signature, payment may be returned and the case will remain open.

If you have a payment extension please enclose a copy of the payment agreement along with payment. This option does not apply to deferred or defensive driving payments.
