La Porte EMS conducts community CPR classes once a month. The course is taught using the American Heart Association guidelines. La Porte EMS teaches AHA Heart Saver and BLS for Healthcare Provider classes. The Heart Saver course includes adult, child, infant and AED. The cost of the Heart Saver class is $10.00 and the BLS Healthcare Provider class is $15.00, which covers the cost of the cards and the cleaning of the equipment.
