February 13, 2017, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Public Library Conference Room
Come to our new Book Discussion Group for Adults Ages 18 and Older! Our first discussion will be on Monday, February 13 at 6:30 pm and we will discuss the book ‘The Story of Land and Sea: A Novel’ by Katy Simpson Smith. Set in a small coastal town in North Carolina during the waning years of the American Revolution, this moving debut novel follows three generations of family--fathers and daughters, mother and son, master and slave--characters who yearn for redemption amidst a heady brew of war, kidnapping, slavery, and love. The book is available for checkout from Harris County Public Library as a regular or large print book, and as an eAudiobook through Hoopla. Please call the library at 281-471-4022 to register or if you would like assistance in placing the book on hold. Walk-ins are also welcome.
